As the rain comes down here in the middle of June it is fun to look back on a shoot from last June on a sunnier and warmer day! This beautiful young lady is wearing a vintage dress that my late mother wore to her prom. The label says it was custom made at a dress shop in Detroit, but my internet search indicates the shop is no longer in business under that name. Shouldn't be surprised after almost 60 years and given the economic circumstances in Detroit the last few years. I wish I knew more about the shop and the services they offered.
This shoot was "just for the fun of it" with Ellie, a young woman of great talent - she sings, she dances, she acts, she directs, she knows musical theater and film. And she's super smart too. Such a fun opportunity to capture her around her home in Big Sky.
And a big bonus - she had great taste in shoes! My obsession with shoes comes from just this kind of combination! Love it!
