Emily, texted me and asked for a photo session. She's my dear friend and a great international adventurer. She is in the throws of preparation for another adventure -- away from her Zeke for some time. She wanted photos to help them remember how they are with each other even when they are many miles away from each other. She wanted lots of laughter, not an engagement shoot, but a fun interaction shoot. And she wanted shallow depth of field and lots of beautiful bokeh. Well, my beautiful friend, here it is!
We did this late summer/early fall shoot in early September at the Missouri Headwaters State Park - a beautiful spot where the Gallatin, Madison and Jefferson Rivers converge to make the Big Mo (the Missouri River). This is a place full of history and importance to our entire country. Think Lewis and Clark, think river transportation, think settlement of the west from this river which flows into the Mighty Mississippi. The waters you see above flow ultimately to the Gulf of Mexico - a 2341 mile trip. Just because I'm nerdy, I'll throw in that the Missouri river is the longest river in North America, and this is it's starting point.
But back to what is really important - these two beauties are all about so many great things! Laughter and love, adventure and learning, and just plain being good people. These photos just give you a hint at how great they are.
Thank you Emily and Zeke! You two are amazing! Now if only you, Emily could take me in your suitcase on this upcoming adventure!
